SHANTANU GHOSH  ( Founder & Group CEO )

Shantanu is an entrepreneur at heart and has a passion for encouraging new businesses

across industries.
His professional experience spanning around 3 decades includes working in Indian as

well as US based companies at the CEO/ Business Head levels.
• He is one of the first players to develop the Business Process Outsourcing model in late 1990’s.
• He is among the first to introduce the concept of Knowledge Management in Indian businesses.
• He is also recognized as one of the pioneers who ushered in Legal Process Outsourcing in India, having successfully setup 3 LPO's in the country.
He has advised various PSU’s, corporate bodies and Government institutions on Knowledge Management, Outsourcing, Business Transformation and Strategic Business Processes in India and overseas. He has delivered simultaneous large‐scale, mission‐critical projects successfully across cross domain and cross functional areas in a global market.
He is an alumnus of prestigious institutions like the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, Wharton Business School, University of Maryland and University of London. He is one of the first few in the world to be ‘Certified in Sales’ under ISO norms by Dutch Council for Accreditation, Geneva. He has qualifications in Knowledge Management, Entrepreneurship, Personnel Management, Export Management, Competitive Intelligence, Software Engineering, Quality Control & ISO Audits, Six Sigma, Labour Laws, British Common Law, General Management and Intellectual Property.
He has been a guest lecturer in various business and law schools. He has been a mentor to few startup businesses. Shantanu heads Shriyai
 as it’s Group CEO and works on a hands-on level in every activity. His keen interest lies in creating value within early stage ventures. He is also involved in a social initiative for upliftment of the uneducated and backward class. As the General Secretary of a US based Trust, he focuses on arranging funds and strategizing for various Humanitarian projects for third world governments across Asia and Africa. He is the Advisor to the Royal Family of one of the Middle East nation alongwith couple of Indian States.   He also serves as the Chairman of a newly launched hospital group. 
He is happily married and has a son. He spends his free time in reading ancient 
scriptures and correlating them with latest scientific and medical discoveries.




BAWA GROVER (Education and Turnarounds), a mechanical engineer and an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, has over 30 year's work Experience, with last 15 years at Executive Leadership at "C" & Director Levels including working in Corporate banking financial services(Citigroup & ICICI) , operations transformation( TCS); delivery across global operation centres (GOC) in US, UK, EU, Philippines, Mexico, India. - both in captive and multi-client operating environs. He is also engaged in management consulting; education sectors. He was the Managing Director of Hexagon Consulting in his last avatar. Prior to that, he was the EVP & Chief Operating Officer - Global Operations of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) handling a matrix reporting of over 7000+FTEs. As Vice President, he managed the Venture Capital desk at ICICI Bank. He has been on the Board of Directors of Citi Financial, TCS eServe, Five Splash, Future TeleVas and has also founded an educational institute - Sixth Element. A regular speaker at BPO forums and Assocham events, he has travelled across 35 countries. An avid golf player, he practices yoga and is concerned about climate change and social impact of business.

PRAKASH KAMTAM  (e-Governance) : Prakash is an Urban Scholar at the UN Global Compact Cities Programme. His last stint in Govt was as Joint Secretary in Puduchchery. Prakash has vast experience in urban planning & governance, smart cities and disaster relief & rehabilitation working in leadership roles in public sector and multi-lateral agency projects of UNDP, DFID.

DR THOMAS WEYER (Renewable Energy) :  Dr. Weyer  is a qualified mechanical engineer and also holds a Doctorate in humanities. He has solid experience of over 35 years in financial investments and in Waste to Energy projects. He was earlier with the German Aerospace Center. As Shriyai’s partner in Germany and Managing Director of Cethos Group, Dr Weyer heads the technology support from Europe for this initiative. He is also an avid management researcher and an author.

MANOHAR SYAL (Humanitarian):  Manohar has over forty years extensive networking in the financial, political spheres and multinational business worldwide.  He has been responsible for the successful establishment of international joint ventures between prominent international corporations. Manohar has effectively created various financial structures to help establish growth in disadvantaged and under developed nations globally. Through Tristar Global in USA, he has been working towards funding various Humanitarian projects for Governments in the third world countries





SIMON MAGUMBO ( Managing Director – SAPL ) :  

Experienced Chartered Accountant and Business Entrepreneur with 20+ years of experience

which spans across strategic, financial and operational management as well as team

management, working in the Big 4 Audit firms: Deloitte & Touché and Ernst & Young,

as well as in commerce and industry covering the mining and banking sector at senior

management/director level.

Simon has expertise in business development, especially with socio-economic implications and green businesses together with a vast experience in forensic investigations and financial reporting. He has a Master’s in Business Leadership and a Post Graduate Diploma in Auditing.  Simon is pursuing a PhD in Accounting and also in Business Leadership- Public Sector Comparator Framework for Public Private Partnership (PPP) Projects in the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC) countries. 

JAGDISH H PATEL  (Director - International Relations) :   

A global technocrat with over 45 years of solid experience, but with the enthusiasm of a 25

year old, Jagdish heads the International Business of Shriyai Africa (SAPL).  He has worked

with oil companies, IT enabled service companies, manufacturing companies, mining

companies, education, nature conservation and medical tourism.

He was involved with the Asiatic Lion preservation mission in Gujarat State, India, together

with The National Mission for Clean Ganga (NMCG). A globe trotter, he instils enthusiasm in all the people he meets with his contagious attitude.


PRINCESS OMBA LACEY ( Country Director – Zambia ) :

Princess Omba shares the entrepreneur bug with the other partners in the group.  She is

based out of Lusaka and manages the entire region. With over 28 years of experience in

various fields, she has excellent connections with the various Government bodies at

the highest levels across all the nearby countries.  Omba is skilled in negotiation,

budgeting, business planning and sales.

MUCHELI GOPIKRISHNA  ( CEO - Commodities & Global Trade )

M.Gopikrishna is an ambitious and business-savvy professional offering around 28+ years of experience in managing large Business/Profit Centres, Business Development, Product Development, and Relationship Management across the Pharmaceutical & Finance Industry.  He has solid experience in business management, covering multiple functions viz., Operations, Trade Finance, Sales& Mktg,

Heading F&A Teams in Multi-Commodity business sectors. He is also on Board of

multiple companies across India, Middle East and Africa.  He is based out of Dubai and

Ivory Coast.  Gopi is married and has a son and a daughter. He loves reading,

spiritual activities, humanitarian work, and spending times with his family.


S C RAMAN  (Regional Director - UAE) : He has over 40 years of experience as a professional manager, business consultant, turnkey project manager in various industries. He has established several green field projects from scratch. He is well versed with UAE laws, policies and practices.  Having excellent relations with influential members of the royal families in UAE gives him the desired edge while working in the region.


RAJIV GUHA (Finance) :    Seasoned Finance professional and a CMA from Institute Cost Accountants of India having more than 22 of experience in corporates (Bharti, BPL & Siemens) & EPC Projects bidding & Execution (Toshiba). Rajiv’s expertise is in drawing up Annual Operating Plan, Biz Reporting, Projects & Claims management,  WC and  Receivable Management, Internal Audit & Control.

JOYASHISH MAITRA (Taxation):  A Chartered Accountant by qualification and a gold medalist, Joyashish is a repository of information related to direct/ indirect taxation and corporate audits. He has over 18 years of solid experience in this field and has worked extensively with various corporates, banks and government agencies. ​​


ABHISHEK MUKHOPADHYAY (Legal):  is a lawyer by qualification and looks after the management of legal and corporate affairs team. He is responsible for legal research, legal opinion, drawing of legal documents, compliance and contracts. He is an alumnus of Symbiosis International University, Pune, and has worked at ICICI Bank prior to his own practice.
