Shaantanu is an entrepreneur at heart and has a passion for encouraging new businesses
across industries.
His professional experience spanning over 3 decades includes working in Indian as
well as US based companies at the CEO/ Business Head levels.
• He is one of the first players to develop the Business Process Outsourcing model in late 1990’s.
• He is among the first to introduce the concept of Knowledge Management in Indian businesses.
• He is also recognized as one of the pioneers who ushered in Legal Process Outsourcing in India, having successfully setup 3 LPO's in the country.
He has advised various PSU’s, corporate bodies and Government institutions on Knowledge Management, Outsourcing, Business Transformation and Strategic Business Processes in India and overseas. He has delivered simultaneous large‐scale, mission‐critical projects successfully across cross domain and cross functional areas in a global market.
He is an alumnus of prestigious institutions like the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode, Wharton Business School, University of Maryland and University of London. He is one of the first few in the world to be ‘Certified in Sales’ under ISO norms by Dutch Council for Accreditation, Geneva. He has qualifications in Knowledge Management, Entrepreneurship, Personnel Management, Export Management, Competitive Intelligence, Software Engineering, Quality Control & ISO Audits, Six Sigma Black Belt, Labour Laws, British Common Law, General Management and Intellectual Property.
Outside his professional commitments, Shaantanu devotes his time to extensive work with governments across developing nations, focusing on uplifting marginalized communities. His transformative work extends beyond borders, as he navigates complex geopolitical environments and cultivates alliances with key stakeholders by engaging with Presidents, Prime Ministers, Finance Ministers, and high-ranking bureaucrats of countries through Economic Statecraft and Diplomatic channels to bring about a positive and impactful change.
He has been a guest lecturer in various business and law schools. He has been a mentor to few startup businesses. Shaantanu heads Shriyai as it’s Group CEO and works on a hands-on level in every activity. His keen interest lies in creating value within early stage ventures. He is also involved in a social initiative for upliftment of the uneducated and backward class. As the General Secretary of a US based Trust, he focuses on arranging funds and strategizing for various Humanitarian projects for third world governments across Asia and Africa. He is the Advisor to the Royal Family of one of the Middle East nation alongwith couple of Indian States.   He also serves as the Chairman of a newly launched hospital group. As a Strategic Advisor, he supports the World Economic Forum for Asia and Africa where his insights shape economic strategies of regional importance. He is also a Member of UNGP - United Nations Global Marketplace.
He is the Author of the book: The Governance Arbitrage – Reengineering the Indian State: which explores governance reform, institutional restructuring, economic competitiveness and administrative transformation. 
He is happily married and has a son. He spends his free time in reading ancient  scriptures and correlating them with latest scientific and medical discoveries.

JAGDISH H PATEL  (Director - International Relations) :    A global technocrat with
over 50 years of solid experience, but with the enthusiasm of a 25 year old, Jagdish heads
the International Business of Shriyai Africa (SAPL).  He has worked with oil companies,
IT enabled service companies, manufacturing companies, mining companies,
education, nature conservation and medical tourism. He was involved with the Asiatic
Lion preservation mission in Gujarat State, India, together with The National Mission
for Clean Ganga (NMCG). A globe trotter, he instils enthusiasm in all the people
he meets with his contagious attitude.

SUBHASISH DHAR  (Principal Consultant - Artificial Intelligence):   Subhasish is a
senior consultant working on reform initiatives of many leading organizations such as
World Bank, Asian Development Bank and others in providing technical advisory support
to government clients. He has over 35 years of experience in providing advisory services
working with organizations such as PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PWC), Deloitte Touché
Tohmatsu and CMC limited. Subhasish’s professional area of expertise lies in providing
advisory services towards organization transformation for government clients particularly
with focus on digital transformation. He has expertise in spearheading many large
government transformation programs.  Some of his key relevant assignments include leading teams in development of comprehensive financial management system in Sri Lanka, Philippines, Laos, West Bengal, Orissa, and Madhya Pradesh. He also supported planning & procurement of tax administration system for the income tax wing of National Board of Revenues, Bangladesh and for Mongolian tax authorities.

TATHAGATA SARKAR (Principal Consultant - Renewable Energy): a seasoned global
professional with over 22 years of experience in the renewable energy sector. With a
PhD in Renewable Energy and a B.Tech in Electronics Engineering, he has directed
large-scale solar, wind, biogas, and energy storage projects across Asia, the Middle East,
Europe, and the USA. His expertise spans EPC execution, project management, feasibility
studies, policy frameworks, and techno-financial modeling. He has also contributed to
research with 11 published papers and numerous keynote talks, reflecting his strong
academic and industry presence. Sarkar has held leadership roles at global organizations such as Ernst & Young, Macquarie Capital, Blueleaf Energy, and Vikram Solar, managing portfolios worth over USD 500 million. His  achievements include establishing factory projects for solar modules, grid inverters, and battery assembly units, demonstrating his ability to blend technical innovation with business execution. Proficient in tools like PVsyst, Helioscope, Homer, and Primavera, Sarkar combines technical acumen with organizational and social skills, making him an adaptive and empathetic leader.    

SHANTANU LAHIRI (Principal Consultant - Hospitality): is a multidisciplinary business
strategist, hospitality professional and serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience
across hospitality, real estate, healthcare, retail, education, technology and allied sectors.
A Hotel Management professional by background, he has developed expertise spanning
operations, project management, business transformation, revenue and marketing
strategy, quality systems, compliance, research, training and organisational development.
His distinctive strength lies in integrating strategy, operations, capital, people and
innovation to create commercially viable, resilient and future-ready enterprises.  He founded White Lotus Advisory - a knowledge-led advisory platform, BioOmE Life Solutions - a sustainable agritech, nutraceuticals and research-led organization. As a Director of Intellect Hospitality, Shantanu is associated with a contemporary hospitality platform focused on concept development, hotel management, performance improvement, asset management, pre-opening, turnaround, investment and project advisory.

PRINCESS OMBA LACEY ( Country Director – Zambia ) : Princess Omba shares the
entrepreneur bug with the other partners in the group.  She is based out of Lusaka and
manages the entire region. With over 28 years of experience in various fields,
she has excellent connections with the various Government bodies at the highest levels
across all the nearby countries.  Omba is skilled in negotiation, budgeting, business planning
and sales.

ENG. JOSEPH MUNEMO (Country Head - Zimbabwe): is a seasoned professional with a solid background in engineering and operations management over 34 years, now channeling his expertise into investment banking. Holding an array of technical certifications and an extensive career history, Munemo has transitioned from roles in plant maintenance and project engineering to top leadership positions . Munemo's strategic approach and robust network make him a valuable asset in the investment banking sector, where he leverages his technical knowledge and project management skills to drive successful funding initiatives and foster investor relationships. Munemo is based in Harare, Zimbabwe, and is dedicated to bridging the gap between engineering and investment opportunities.
 
RAJIV GUHA (Finance) :    Seasoned Finance professional and a CMA from Institute Cost Accountants of India having more than 22 of experience in corporates (Bharti, BPL & Siemens) & EPC Projects bidding & Execution (Toshiba). Rajiv’s expertise is in drawing up Annual Operating Plan, Biz Reporting, Projects & Claims management,  WC and  Receivable Management, Internal Audit & Control.

ABHISHEK MUKHOPADHYAY (Legal):  is a lawyer by qualification and looks after the management of legal and corporate affairs team. He is responsible for legal research, legal opinion, drawing of legal documents, compliance and contracts. He is an alumnus of Symbiosis International University, Pune, and has worked at ICICI Bank prior to his own practice.

​ADVISORY BOARD


​​BAWA GROVER (Education and Turnarounds), a mechanical engineer and an alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, has over 30 year's work Experience, with last 15 years at Executive Leadership at "C" & Director Levels including working in Corporate banking financial services(Citigroup & ICICI) , operations transformation( TCS); delivery across global operation centres (GOC) in US, UK, EU, Philippines, Mexico, India. - both in captive and multi-client operating environs. He is also engaged in management consulting; education sectors. He was the Managing Director of Hexagon Consulting in his last avatar. Prior to that, he was the EVP & Chief Operating Officer - Global Operations of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) handling a matrix reporting of over 7000+FTEs. As Vice President, he managed the Venture Capital desk at ICICI Bank. He has been on the Board of Directors of Citi Financial, TCS eServe, Five Splash, Future TeleVas and has also founded an educational institute - Sixth Element. A regular speaker at BPO forums and Assocham events, he has travelled across 35 countries. An avid golf player, he practices yoga and is concerned about climate change and social impact of business. 

PRAKASH KAMTAM  (e-Governance) : Prakash is an Urban Scholar at the UN Global Compact Cities Programme. His last stint in Govt was as Joint Secretary in Puduchchery. Prakash has vast experience in urban planning & governance, smart cities and disaster relief & rehabilitation working in leadership roles in public sector and multi-lateral agency projects of UNDP, DFID.​

DR THOMAS WEYER (Renewable Energy) :  Dr. Weyer  is a qualified mechanical engineer and also holds a Doctorate in humanities. He has solid experience of over 35 years in financial investments and in Waste to Energy projects. He was earlier with the German Aerospace Center. As Shriyai’s partner in Germany and Managing Director of Cethos Group, Dr Weyer heads the technology support from Europe for this initiative. He is also an avid management researcher and an author.​

MANOHAR SYAL (Humanitarian):  Manohar has over forty years extensive networking in the financial, political spheres and multinational business worldwide.  He has been responsible for the successful establishment of international joint ventures between prominent international corporations. Manohar has effectively created various financial structures to help establish growth in disadvantaged and under developed nations globally. Through Tristar Global in USA, he has been working towards funding various Humanitarian projects for Governments in the third world countries​
